200A, 15kV Class Loadbreak Elbow
Brand: Chardon
Loadbreak Elbow
The Chardon Loadbreak Elbow is a fully shielded, submersible, and insulated termination for connecting underground cable to transformers, switchgear, and other apparatus equipped with loadbreak bushings, junctions, or other loadbreak connectors. The bushing insert and loadbreak elbows are the primary components in all ANSI/IEEE loadbreak connections. The Chardon 15kV Loadbreak Elbow meets all the requirements of IEEE Standard 386; the interface design meets interface 7B (Fig. 9 in IEEE Std 386-2016). And is fully interchangeable with competitor’s products and amting products that also meet IEEE Standard 386. Chardon Loadbreak Elbows are molded using high-quality peroxide-cured insulating and semi-conducting EPDM rubber. All insulating rubber is compounded in-house, using Chardon's developed proprietary formulations. Chardon Loadbreak Elbows include a stainless steel pulling eye. An optional capacitive test point is available. Included with the elbow kit is a bi-metal or copper compression connector, and a tin-plated copper probe with arc quenching tip.

24kV to 36kV, 1250A Front & Rear T-Body with Wide Range Adapter
Brand: Chardon
IEC Separable Connectors
The Chardon T-Body connectors are designed to integrate polymeric cables into dead front apparatus such as transformers, switchgear, and other critical equipment, meeting the electrical standards set by IEC 60502 & HD 629. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, these connectors comply with the interface requirements of EN 50180 and are compatible with all polymeric cable types and conductors made of either copper or aluminum. With an operational voltage capacity of up to 36kV, these connectors are equipped with high-performance adapters that allow for an extensive range of compatibility with various cable sizes.

600A/900A 15/25kV Class T-Body Deadbreak Connector
Brand: Chardon
Deadbreak Connector
Chardon 15/25-TB-600 and 15/25-TB-600T elbows are designed to terminate underground cables to high-voltage apparatus such as transformers and switchgear. They are fully shielded, fully submersible, and meet the requirements of IEEE Standard 386. They are interchangeable with other manufacturer’s products that conform to this industry standard. The capacitive test point on the insulating plug provides a means of testing the circuit without disturbing the bolted connection. In addition to the capacitive test point feature on the insulating plug, Chardon offers an optional capacitive test point on the T-Body connector. This allows the use of the fault indicators, and provides a hotstick operable means of determining circuit condition when used with high impedance voltage sensing devices designed of test points. T-Body Connectors are designed for use on solid dielectric cables (XLPE or EPR) with extruded semi-conductive shields and concentric neutral, with or without a jacket. Installation on jacketed concentric neutral cable may require additional sealing material. A special grounding adapter is available for tape shield, linear corrugated, unishield, and drain wire cables for use with Deadbreak connectors.

Chardon 15kV, 25kV and 35kV Class Cold Shrinkable Straight Joint
Brand: Chardon
Shrinkable Straight Joint
The Chardon Cold Shrinkable Straight Joint offers easy installation and reliable performance when jointing medium voltage cables. Made from high-quality, UV-resistant silicone rubber, the Chardon cold Shrinkable Straight joint provides a combination of durability and high performance in the field. The Chardon cold Shrinkable straight Joint includes a stress-controlling compound housing, a preassembled on a plastic “hold out” tube. As the plastic holdout tube is removed. The stress relief housing shrinks onto the cable. The straight joints are designed to withstand voltages of up to 35kV and are tested in accordance with the IEEE Standard 48.

Chardon 15kV, 25kV and 35kV Class cold Shrinkable Termination
Brand: Chardon
Shrinkable Straight Joint
The Chardon Cold Shrinkable Termination offers easy installation and reliable performance when terminating indoor and outdoor medium voltage cables. Made from high quality, UV resistant, silicone rubber, the Chardon Cold Shrinkable Termination offers a combination of durability and high performance in the field. The Chardon Cold Shrinkable Terminations include a stress controlling compound housing, preassembled on a plastic “hold out” tube. As the plastic hold out is removed, the stress relief housing shrinks onto the cable. Chardon terminations are easy to install, and have a wide application range. No tools, or heat sources are required. The products are designed to last the entire life of the cable. The terminations are designed to withstand a voltage up to 35kV.
